Our AZ trip

We are home, so I can get back to blogging.
Warning very long post with lots of pictures. When I downloaded the pictures I had 286. Don't worry I did not post them all. We had a great time. To tell you the truth I could have stayed longer. I did miss Jarom, but there were a few people I didn't have time to see, so we will catch them at Christmas time. I brought my work out clothes with every intention to go to the gym and never steeped foot in one. Oh well next week I will get back into it. Right now we have to get the time change thing worked out. We went to bed at 11 PM and woke up at 10 AM. I like sleeping in, but my classes start at 9:30 AM, so hopefully by Monday we will be back to our routine.
While in AZ I ate at my favorite restaurants that Tennessee doesn't have Like Gecko Grill and ate my favorite deserts like Nelson's Frozen Custard. I spent a week in Anthem and the rest of the time in Mesa and Chandler at my parent's and sister's house. I went to the ribbon store and made some bows for my new niece and Sundi's triplets. I also stocked up for my own girls.
Anthem
I went to a baby shower for Amy Brandon and her 2 week old Luke.
We went to the splash pad with Lisa, Kathleen, Meghann, and Michelle.

This is my best friend Candy and her husband Chad. We stayed with them while in Anthem. They have 2 boys Wyatt and Owen. Saige and Wyatt have been friends since birth. The kids had so much fun playing together. We played with water balloons....

and jumped on the trampoline.
Wyatt put Saige in the dog cage.
They both fell asleep in the car on the way to see the triplets. so we let them sleep on Sundi's bed.

Saige didn't like that he kissed Savannah, so she is not letting him kiss her.
but she gave him a hug good bye.
My other best friend in Anthem Katie. Leaving behind good friends was very hard for me. I miss hanging out with her and Candy.
Here are Katie's boys Mason and Ethan. They lived 2 doors down from us and played together almost every day. We sure do miss them.

Daddy Daughter road trip

Every year my dad goes to the LA Roadster show father's day weekend and this year I got to go with him. We drove to California in his baby a 1934 Ford Panel Van. He is a house painter and drives his car everyday for work.

We car pooled with a couple of other guys also going to the show.
My dad and I at the show in front of his panel van.

A line up of some of the cars.
There were over 2000 old cars there.
The potty cart. I am sitting on a toilet.
Here are a few cars I thought were cool.

Here are a couple of cool stroller rides for the kids. This one is made from a wheel barrel.

an old car. Too cute!
We had a lot of fun walking around the swap meet and seeing all the hot rods.

On the third day we drove to Huntington Beach to do some surfing. Only it was freezing and gloomy, so we left and went to La Jolla to kayak. Before we left we watched some surfers.

At La Jolla we went to the cave store. We walked down 145 stairs in a lighted tunnel to explore the famous Sunny Jim cave.

Then we rented some kayaks and went on a 2 hour tour of the 7 caves. I am so glad I started working out 7 weeks ago because rowing was tough, but I didn't get sore from it. We had such a great time. We saw some leopard sharks and seals. This was my first time in a kayak.

After we kayaked we ate some lunch and checked into our hotel. Then went out to do some sight seeing. We went to The first settlement in California, Old Town San Diego and saw some of the original buildings. The Mormon Battalion Museum is located there, but it was closed for remodeling. Then we went to a park by the harbour and took some pictures with some statues. After that we went to Coronado Island for some ice cream. Then we went to see a movie.

On Monday we drove home and my dad let me drive the panel van. It was so cool, you get a lot of attention driving it.
We had a wonderful trip and I am sad that it is over. I have the best dad in the whole world. I am happy and thankful I was able to spend father's day with him. Thank You mom and Kristy for watching my girls while we were away.

Arizona Time!

This morning we(the girls and I) flew to Arizona. Why? To see new babies, family and friends and to go to California this weekend with my dad for a car show. Stay tuned for updates through out my 3 week stay.
How I got around the airport with the girls.
Saige reading a book while waiting to board the plane.
Happy Savannh. She did petty well on the flight, but only slept for 25 minutes.
Our plane
The car seat was a life saver on the flight. Strapped in so she couldn't escape and Saige sat in the middle.
Cousin Colby came to pick us up from the airport along with Aunt Holly, Grandma and Grandpa Olsen.

We survived the 3 hour flight thanks to the DVD player and some new toys. Funny story, Saige didn't want to use the potty on the plane because it didn't have water in it, so I had to go first to show her it was OK . She thinks the airplane is the airport.

Savannah (16 months) and her cousin Colby(7 months).
