Saige's First Dance Recital

Saige had her first ballet recital last night. She did such a good job, but has decided to call it quits with dance for now. She wants to focus on Gymnastics.
Here she is before the show.
Her performance

After the show they had treats for the dancers. Here she is eating.
Here is a video of her at gymnastics a few weeks ago doing a bar rotation.

The night before Valentines!

This year for Valentine's Day we ate dinner at Ruth Chris's Steak House(a tradition, our 8Th year going for Valentines). Then we went to Downtown Memphis and walked down Beale street. Then we went Salsa dancing at The Rumba Room. We had a blast. We also went with my friend April and her boyfriend Nick.
Before we left for dinner.

This is April and I outside the Coyote Ugly Bar.
Then we went inside to check it out. This is a ton of bras hanging up behind the bar. There was also a girl dancing on it, but I didn't take her picture.
There are a lot of carriages like this to ride downtown to make you feel like Cinderella.
Here are some video clips of one of the Beale Street flippers, An Elvis impersonator, and us dancing. Enjoy!

Snow Day

Saige and Savannah came in my room this morning and said mom it is snowing outside, it is all white on the ground. I was thinking they saw frost on the ground and thought it was snow, so I said give me 5 minutes and I will be up. When I looked out the window I was shocked to see 4 inches of snow on the ground. Usually when they think it is going to snow they make a big deal about it and broadcast all over the news. Like the ice storm last week they closed all the schools in preparation for a big snow storm and all we got was freezing rain. Of course when they give no warning it actually snows. So we bundled up and went out to play in it. I must admit it is pretty and fun to play in, but I am glad this doesn't happen very often.

Savannah loved it!

Saige made a bowl full and was eating with a wooden spoon.

On our back patio
I think it is so cool how it just stacks up and doesn't fall off.
We built a snow man and the girls had a little snowball fight.

Winter Wonderland

Yesterday we had a Winter storm consisting of freezing rain and snow. It is freezing cold and we have bee stuck inside for the last 2 days, but looks so pretty.

1 Year left!

It is crazy to think Jarom will be graduating December 10, 2010. It seems like just yesterday I was telling everyone we will be moving to Tennessee for 3 years. We are in the home stretch now.
Jarom did great last semester. He got 4 A's and 1 B.He passed his major test on all the drugs that could have gotten him kicked out of the program back in October. Once that test was over he started clinicals. We see him a lot more now. It is like he has a job now, just not getting paid for it. He started at The Med last year doing his general rotation. He is currently in OB doing lots of epidurals and spinals. Next he is back at the Med doing general Then he will go on to 3 months of PEDS at Labonheur and St. Jude Research Hospital. Then it is on to Trauma.
He is really enjoying what he is doing although he says OB is weak sauce. Apparently epidurals aren't challenging enough for him. He gets a total of 4 weeks vacation this year and has his whole schedule planned out for the year.
We are not sure where we will be moving next. We will let you know when we do.

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years and Christmas in Tennessee!

Christmas Eve with the Olsen's. We went to my sister Kristy's house for a gift exchange and Mexican dinner.

Christmas Morning Santa came because the cookies were eaten and the hot chocolate was gone.
Santa filled our stockings in Arizona, but left our gifts in Tennessee.
The girls were so excited.

Savannah hugs every gift she loves.
Yummy See's candy gift certificate.
On Christmas Day we went to Peggy Sue's house.
Here are most of the Wingert grand kids. Cole and Cameron were napping.

One of Peggy's neighbors came from Flagstaff where it had snowed and he had some in the bed of his truck, so we borrowed some and...
Had a Snowball fight.
That night we went caroling to Peggy Sue's neighbors.
New Years Eve we went to a party at the Ballantyne's house and played games until 2:30am.
Thomas light off a few fireworks at midnight.
We chose Mexican Coke for our new years toast.

We had Santa come to Tennessee because we didn't want to ship the gifts home, so on January 9Th the girls finally got to open the gifts from Santa.
They watched each other open every gift, it was so cute.
Savannah loves her princess dolls, as you can see by the look on her face.

This is a Princess night gown and Savy has worn it every day since then. Maybe Santa should have brought more of them.
Savannah all dressed up for church.
Cute girls
All bundled up

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
