Atempt #2 at the zoo

When we woke up the weather said it would be in the upper 60's and wouldn't rain until the late afternoon, so we decided to try to go to the zoo again with Morgan, Savannah, Christine and her nephew Chandler. It started off great it was around 65 degrees when we arrived and partly cloudy.
Morgan and Saige walking Saige said she wanted to see the alligators, so we saw them first with all the reptiles.
Then we went into the aquarium where Savannah loved looking at all the fish. We also saw the hippos, Komodo dragons, and tortoises.Saige and Christine peeking out of the hole like a prairie dog.Savannah in an egg shell Saige and Chandler in an egg shell
Then it started to rain so we took shelter in the Farm expo building, played for awhile and ate our lunch. Savannah eating her sandwich in a big girl chair.
When the rain stopped we went back out to see more animals.

Then it started to rain again and the animals were all hiding so we left around noon. It was 57 degrees and raining, but still not as cold as Monday and we were able to stay longer this time. Thank You Christine for the invite. We will go with you again any time. We all had a lot of fun.

Outside

What a beautiful day! It was 75 degrees yesterday and sunny my kind of weather, so we went for a walk in the wagon.
When the girls got tired of the wagon they walked holding hands. How sweet!

New Fun with Jenna Grace

Saige's new favorite thing to do is throw water balloons over the porch and try to pop them.
Saige and Jenna Grace (Her new friend from church)throwing balloons.
Then I lift her over the rail to throw the balloons that didn't pop on the first try.
Savannah came up to me holding a caterpillar. She squeezed it so hard that it was bleeding and later died. She likes anything that moves.
Jenna Grace and Saige went exploring outside and found some beautiful flowers they just had to have.

When mom's away

When I came home from shopping all of the couch cushions were in a pile on the floor. Jarom told me to look at the camera for pictures of what they have been up to.
climbing all over and jumping off the couch onto the cushions.
Later Saige fell asleep in the middle of them. Too much FUN!

Savannah is 15 months old

The zoo

For Saige's Birthday we decided to go to the zoo with her friend Morgan because we already had her party in Anthem before we left. Only it was 46 degrees and started to sprinkle (not in the for cast) on us, so that lasted 20 minutes. Here are a couple of pictures I took before we left.
Saige and Morgan looking at the Tiger.

We are going to try the zoo again on Friday since it should be around 76 degrees, wait I just checked the weather looks like 60% chance of rain and the high only 67 degrees. Why does the weather keep changing on me. It always seems to rain when we make plans to go to the zoo. I miss Phoenix weather!

Happy 3rd Birthday Saige

My little girl is 3.
Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday I brought home my 6lb baby girl. Now she is my 25.5lb little girl. I love her so much. She is always a joy to have around. She loves to play with her new friends and misses her AZ friends and cousins a ton.

Potty Trained at last

I read this book and put it to the test. I wanted to make sure I could stay home for a few days with Saige after starting, so I picked Thursday to be the day.
This movie and book we have had since Christmas and she loves it. She watched the movie all the time and started to request the book for story time every night, so I decided she was ready to learn.
The book says to buy a baby and have her train the baby doll all morning. I followed the books instructions pretty close, but decided to start the day off in panties instead of waiting until after lunch. When she woke up I took her to the bathroom where I had a few presents and princess pictures on the wall and asked her if she needed to go potty and she said YES, so she went. Then she got a sticker on the sticker chart, a piece of candy from the big girl jar, and got to open a present(The doll). She liked her a lot and named her Hannah like the little girl in her book. I told her we were going to potty train Hannah. We put a pair of Saige's underwear on her and watched the potty movie, then let her drink the bottle. After that we took her to the potty and she went. We sang and danced and Hannah got to pick a special treat( I had a platter in the kitchen of all kinds of snacks and candy for going potty)Saige thought that was so cool and she got to eat Hannah's treat if she promised to go potty today.
Then the princess party began(You are supposed to make the day a fun party day with a theme, presents, treats, and tons of fun activities).
We started off by doing hair and putting on make up.

Then I painted her nails.
She put make up on me.
She got to open her new play dough set for going potty.
We finger painted and colored princess pictures with Hannah.
Even though Our theme was princess we decided to play outside with water balloons, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles and did our girly princess stuff inside. I kept giving her juice and water and she went potty 6 times in the potty! Hip Hip Ho re! After a fun long day she was trained. She has even stayed dry every night since then and hasn't had any accidents. I am so proud of her. After months of trying off and on and not getting anywhere, this one day seemed so easy. I highly recommend the book. It worked for us. Only now she wants to wear makeup everyday.

Surprise!

I know I just moved here and already I'm hanging out with a group causing trouble J.K. Valerie invited me to go out with some girls to celebrate some birthdays. Jamie and Catherine turning 30. We kidnapped them in their PJ's. Good job husbands!

Then we went to Steak N Shake for some yummy food.
I has a blast with the girls. After dinner we went back to Joleen's house until 1am. Nothing like a wild girls night out to feel welcome in a new place. Thank you Valerie for the invite. Happy Birthday Jamie and Catherine.

It's Raining Again!

It has been raining a lot since we moved here. It rains at least 2 days a week. We bought Saige some rain boots right after we moved here because she had to have them. Now I am glad we did because she wears them a few times a week. Here are a few pictures of the rain.

Eating

My girls are totally different when it comes dinner time. Savannah will eat everything in sight and Saige has a few meals she likes. I make her take a bite and she just lets it sit there (as pictured) or gags her self and spits it out. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on how to get her to eat the food I make or do I give her something else she will eat. HELP!

New Water Toy

The girls love playing outside, so we bought a water toy for the porch. It has been raining the past few days, so they have been outside enjoying all the water. Best Buy they Love it!
The 1st time they saw it.
Saige decided to take a bath with her clothes on.
Savannah kept trying to drink the water.
