2 weeks!

Why do babies have to grow so fast? This little or should I say big guy gained over a pound in 2 weeks. He now weighs 8lbs 12 oz and is 21 inches long 50% for both height and weight. He still likes to sleep all day and is doing a 4-5 hour stretch at night, so I am up with him twice now. I am going to wake him up every 2 hours during the day starting Today, so he will sleep better at night. He Loves to be swaddled with his soothie paci in his mouth and his bum patted to go to sleep. Everyone compliments him on his hair, even the pediatrician. The girls are really sweet with him and Love to hold him.

Snow Days!

They say it never snows in Memphis, well it has snowed 3 times so far this year. The girls Love it because they like to eat snow cones and play in it and Saige doesn't have to go to school. That is right Everything shuts down when it snows.

I guess we better get used to the snow, since it snows more in Columbia.

1 week old

I can't believe my baby is already a week old. WHY does time have to go by so fast?
He is such a good baby. He eats every 4 hours and sleeps from 9 PM-3 AM, then wakes up at 7 AM. He is awake for about an hour in the morning and then about 2 hours, if that at night. He nurses, I change him then he goes right back to sleep. He is my dream baby! We all adore him and are so glad he is a part of our family. As it turns out the timing of his arrival is perfect.

Lucas Slade Wingert

I was having contractions for a week and a half, so my doctor decided to go ahead and induce me a few days early that way we could get the girls set up with friends. We arrived at the hospital at 7 AM to get checked in and settled into a room. At 9 AM they started the pitocin. He came in and broke my water at 9:45 AM. At 1:45 PM I got an epidural that worked like a charm. Then at 4 PM I was dilated to a 10. After 4 pushes he was born at 4:18 PM. Lucas Slade Wingert weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He was my biggest baby and easiest delivery.

Saige can't get enough of him. She is a great helper too.
He also Loves the swing
He has only been home for 24 hours and is doing really well so far. I have had to wake him up to nurse during the day. He went to bed at 9 PM last night and woke up 3 times to eat the third time being 6:45 AM. He is a great nurser. We Love this sweet little boy!

Happy New Year!

What is there to do on New Years Eve when you don't have a babysitter? Throw a party and have all the kids come too. We had the Taylor's, Moore's, Hale's and Wright's over for a New Years Eve Bash. We had some delicious food and played family feud.
Happy New Years!
I can already tell this year is going to be a good one. With a lot happening in January to kick off the New Year... We will have Savannah's Birthday Party on the 8Th, the baby will be born the 10Th or 11Th(we will find out on Thursday when I will be induced), Jarom takes boards on the 27Th, my mom comes on the 29Th, bless Lucas(yes we finally decided on a name) on the 30Th, then we will move to Columbia on February 1St and will begin a new journey there.
